- REED has published 25 collections in 28 volumes since York was published in 1979: 9,194 pages of records and 8,825 pages of apparatus. The map below shows what has been published, what is in production, where the research has been completed, what research is in progress, and what has not yet been undertaken. With sufficient support, we can complete the project.
- We have assembled a remarkable team of full-time research associates and technicians in Toronto, some of whom have been with the project since its inception; over 30 collection editors, some of whom are on their third collection; a hard-working executive board; and an international group of interdisciplinary advisors. Our collaborative team knows how to get the job done.
- REED remains at the cutting edge of digital developments in text analysis and retrieval, as shown by the Patrons and Performances Web Site. REED is actively planning, in partnership with the University of Toronto Library and University of Toronto Press, to make the resources of the published volumes available, fully indexed and searchable, on the internet. To date, volumes through Oxford are online in pdf format on the Internet Archive website.
- Over its 31-year history, REED has consistently operated in the black, thanks to the support of the University of Toronto, Victoria University, government agencies in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K., private foundations in all three countries, and the personal donations of generous friends.

REED urgently needs to find increased support from governments, foundations, and individuals. Together we hope to raise funds for the tasks ahead:
- to process more quickly the completed collections as they are submitted,
- to make electronic publication of the series a reality, and
- to finish the project in a timely fashion
